Fareshare’s Mission Statement is below.
‘We were born out of the belief that no good food should go to waste, especially when people are going hungry. This belief is as central to our work now as it was 25 years ago.’
YCE started the journey by effective listening with the non-profit organisation, ensuring aspirations were perfectly fulfilled to design and install a development kitchen.
The primary function of the kitchen was to to offer cooking classes to its Community Food Team, and to provide meals for hard working volunteers. In turn, this would Expand FareShare’s Employability programme to include cookery skills and therefore aid in the charities business development. It was essential YCE delivered to ensure further business opportunities to Fareshare’s current portfolio.
YCE comprehensively supported FareShare on this project, not just in the kitchen, but including all turnkey works and interior areas.
The brand, Full Crumb Kitchen was born from this project, and was completed in February 2020.
