Commercial kitchen design

Design questions

Can YCE design a commercial kitchen from scratch?

Yes. YCE can help from the first layout idea through to a more detailed kitchen plan, equipment specification, service requirements and installation route. The design is shaped around the menu, building, team, service style and budget.

Do I need drawings before contacting YCE?

No. Drawings are helpful, but they are not essential for the first conversation. Photos, a rough sketch, an equipment list, a menu, a problem you are trying to solve or a basic project brief are enough to start.

Can YCE provide CAD drawings and 3D visuals?

Yes. YCE can prepare CAD layouts and 3D visuals where they will help the client, contractor or wider project team understand the space before equipment is ordered or installation begins.

What makes a good commercial kitchen design?

A good design is not just about fitting equipment into a room. It should support safe workflow, preparation, cooking, wash-up, refrigeration, storage, cleaning, staff movement, service speed and future maintenance access.

Installation

Installation questions

Can YCE install the equipment it supplies?

Yes. YCE can supply and install commercial catering equipment as part of a full project, refurbishment, replacement programme or one-off installation.

Can YCE help with a one-off equipment installation?

Yes. If you only need one item installed, YCE can still help. This can include planning access, delivery, positioning, connection requirements, commissioning and handover.

What information helps YCE plan an installation?

Useful information includes site address, access restrictions, delivery route, floor level, doorway widths, lift access, power, gas, water, waste, extraction details, photos, drawings and the required installation date.

Can YCE coordinate with builders, contractors and other trades?

Yes. YCE regularly works alongside main contractors, electricians, plumbers, ventilation specialists, flooring teams and client project managers to help keep the kitchen installation aligned with the wider programme.

Aftercare

Support questions

Can YCE support the kitchen after installation?

Yes. YCE can help with service, maintenance, replacement equipment, asset reviews, refurbishment planning and advice when the kitchen needs to change in the future.

Do you help with equipment warranties?

Where equipment is supplied through YCE, the team can help customers understand warranty information and the correct route for service or manufacturer support.

Can YCE help decide whether to repair or replace equipment?

Yes. The team can consider age, condition, parts availability, reliability, running cost and project plans before advising whether repair, refurbishment, reuse or replacement is the better route.
