Asset management for commercial kitchens, refurbishments and multi-site operators: helping clients understand what they own, what can be reused, what needs replacing and how to control project cost.
Asset management
Asset management is not just a list of equipment. For YCE it means reviewing the commercial kitchen assets already on site, understanding their condition, usefulness and service requirements, then deciding how they should support the next project or operating period.
This is especially valuable on refurbishments, school kitchens, care environments, pub estates and multi-site rollouts where existing equipment may be moved, cleaned, tested, reused, stored or replaced. The aim is to save money where reuse is sensible and avoid forcing old equipment back into service where replacement is the safer option.

Key considerations
We start by walking the site or estate and building a practical picture of the equipment already in place. This includes condition, age, service access, output, suitability for the new layout and whether the item still supports the client’s operation.
The brief turns the asset review into clear actions: retain, refurbish, clean and test, relocate, store, replace or dispose responsibly. This helps the client see where existing equipment can reduce spend and where new equipment is genuinely required.
YCE coordinates the agreed asset route with the wider project. Equipment may be removed, stored, cleaned, tested at our York facility, returned to site, installed into the new layout or replaced through the normal supply chain.
After handover, asset information helps with future maintenance, warranty planning, replacement cycles and estate budgeting. Clients get a clearer record of what they have and a better basis for future decisions.
Further detail
The strongest asset plans are practical. They identify what the client already owns, what has a reliable working life left and what could cause operational problems if reused without proper checks.
YCE’s wider service, Clean Service and Test, installation and project management capability means asset decisions can be connected to real delivery. We can help protect usable equipment from being wasted while still making clear recommendations where replacement is necessary.
